Every fusion doubles a core: 2, 4, 8, 16… Each value is 2 multiplied by itself a number of times, written 2ⁿ.

How many 2-cores have to fuse to make one 64-core?

Answer: 32. 64 ÷ 2 = 32. (64 is 2⁶, and each 2-core is 2¹.)
